Google has announced a server side update for content coming to the Google search app that will now make it easier for cricket lovers to keep track of their favourite teams during the ICC World T20. The new feature will let users get updates a few seconds later and will even make its easier to access the same. With the new cricket-specific search functions in place, a fan can just type in “cricket match” to access the most updated scores or ball-by-ball updates without the need to jump into another app. The updates that come to both the Android and iOS Google Search apps, now even deliver news and related information depending on the match that currently going. Google makes you even more lazy by allowing you to search by voice, about cricket related questions and get the relevant answers instantly. All the information combined basically gives front row seats at the match without being there. “Being away from the action can be frustrating, but from today you’ll never have to miss another moment, with the launch of new cricket experiences on the Google app just in time for the ICC World T20 2016.” writes Yoav Schwartzberg, Product Manager, Google Search at the official Google Blogs. Google recently begun experimenting with an entirely new format for search results, which may eventually let any brand, celebrity or organisation have a dedicated Twitter-like feed, built right into the company’s search engine. A report by Search Engine Land calls it the new “Local Business Cards” in search results.
