Google Maps turns the earth into a giant Pacman game for April Fool's day

Google knocked it out of the park with its Pacman doodle a few years ago, which proved to be one of the most appreciated doodles ever. And in a welcome April Fool’s treat, the search giant has brought back the game in a much bigger and more exciting avatar. Now you can play Pacman across streets, in any country of the world, thanks to Google Maps, which has literally converted earth Maps now allows users to play PacMan on real streets. Interestingly, the announcement came on April Fool’s Day, leaving everyone wondering if it is yet another classic prank from the search giant. Remember Google’s **Pokémon Master** and **Gmail Shelfie**  announced last year on the same day? But nope. We’ve been playing Pacman across the streets of Mumbai for a while now. The best part about the Maps Pacman is that Google is allowing users to choose any location of their choice to play the game of PacMan. The virtual streets are turned into Pacman’s playing grounds and one can start playing using the arrow keys. To start playing, users have to click on the PacMan symbol seen on the lower left corner of the screen. It then allows you to play the game on your current location. However, a popup will alert users if the location doesn’t have enough streets to play, and allow them to select any random location. You can then turn into PacMan and eat blinking dots to elude the four popular ghosts - Pinky, Blinky, Inky and Clyde. Users can start playing the game in Google Maps on desktops as well as mobile phones if you have the latest app update for Apple’s iOS or Google’s Android platform. Google is known to show its fun side every year during April Fool’s Day, and this may not be all the tech giant has up its sleeve today. We are hoping to see some more fun-filled April Fool pranks throughout the day.
