Google is expected to showcase Android 4.3, Chrome and a whole bunch of apps along with the latest refreshed Nexus 7 tablet, at its “Breakfast with Sundar Pichai” event. Earlier today we had reported about the leaked specs of the latest Nexus 7 tablet. The leaks were courtesy the major US retailer Best Buy who put up the tablet for pre-order on their website.
The Nexus 7 has a full HD screen at 1920 × 1200 pixels and comes with 2GB RAM. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The display size will be the same 7 inches as the earlier Nexus 7. However, the resolution is getting bumped up to a considerable 1920 x 1200 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 320 ppi.
Out of the box, the tablet will run on the fabled Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which is expected to be the other big announcement today. The update will also bring many improvements under the hood, such as Bluetooth 4 LE, which essentially makes the battery usage by Bluetooth 4 barely noticeable. It is also supposedly set to decrease the overall RAM usage of Android by around 30 percent.
