Google has hidden a neat easter-egg in its recently-revealed Google Play Games app. Referencing the old days of classic gaming, Google has not only invoked the infamous Konami Code, but also the hilarious example of mistranslation that is the All Your Bases Are Belong To Us meme.

As reported by Android Police , swiping your finger around the app like the Konami code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left right) will bring up a virtual keypad with three buttons—A, B and Start. Pressing B, A and then Start will unlock an achievement, dubbed “All your game are belong to us”.

Google had released the Google Play Games app recently . The Google Play Games app acts as a hub similar to Apple’s Game Center and users can match achievements against their friends, save progress and scores when switching devices.

Using the application, you can discover new games your friends are playing, track your achievements as well as those of your opponents and play with your friends across the world. The app shows you an organised view of all the games you have installed and lists you achievements. You can compare achievements via public leaderboards and your Google+ profile.

The Games service announced back at the I/O included a bunch of new APIs that facilitated Cloud Saves, Achievements, Leaderboards and Multiplayer Matchmaking.  The Cloud Saves API was introduced to help you save your game files onto the cloud which is especially helpful if you are reinstalling a game and want to resume playing from where you left off last time. The service has the capability to set up synchronous multiplayer games using Google’s own servers, as was demonstrated during Google I/O.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
