Google+ Glitch Causes E-Mail Spam

Google+ has seen a lot of users using it in the last couple of days. Initially, invites were given out sparingly but now the taps seem to have been opened. This increase in load seems to have hit Google+. Sometime over the weekend, some users were bombarded with e-mails of notifications. According to a post by Vic Gundrotra, Senior VP, Social for Google, the spam was caused due to a lack of disk space for a period of 80 minutes. The disk space shortage was for a system in charge of notifications. This resulted in this nonstop sending of notification mails. He apologized for the spam.
