Remember the first adult app on Google Glass? Yes, the same one that got road-blocked by Google’s overnight policy change. The app is now back on Google Glass, without the porn.
MiKandi, the makers of the app called “T**s & Glass” have announced that it managed to tweak the app to adhere to Google’s revised developer policies. The app that was pulled out by the developers themselves as they became aware of the policy changes is now back, but it isn’t really an adult app anymore.
No more nudity
The team writes in a blog post that the revision to Google’s Glass Platform Developer Policy that prohibits “content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts or sexually explicit material” spoils the fun. The biggest change to the POV centric app is that Glass users will no longer be allowed to share intimate experiences with other Glass users. The app maker has added a feature to filter out pornographic material from appearing on the Glass app.
So, what’s left of the “adult app”? The team explains, “Because we don’t want you to get totally bored with your now-kinda-boring device, we partnered with top photographers around the globe to preload the app with irresistibly hot, *non-pornographic* photos of some of the world’s most beautiful models. You can access, vote, and comment on these photos through Glass. Yay!” We smell sarcasm.
MiKandi has already preloaded the app with Glass-safe images. The team also writes that it hopes that once Glass is available to consumers, Google will open the device to allow third party Glassware that are not subject to the same adult content restrictions. “If and when that day comes, we will happily update our app so adult Glass users can get the sexy content they want,” the team writes.
