**The Weather Channel** today added a feature on their search engine enabling ‘pollen forecast’ viewing. The added functionality is aimed at a large number of people who are affected by allergies in the fall season. **Google** team tracking search interests across the US noticed a
spike in searches for allergies each year in April and May come spring and then again in September.Google’s Nisha Masharani in
a blog post announced the feature ahead of the autumn season today stating how one in five Americans suffered from allergies come autumn. Masharani said, “When the pollen count in your area is particularly high, you can receive reminders in the Google app.” Users get the option to “turn on” these notifications when searching for pollen levels, pollen forecast or a similar query on Google. **introduced its latest update** to the ‘Search’ app. The update, available in English, would provide users easy access to information like cricket scores and statistics, weather, nearby restaurants, ATMs, grocery stores and more, Google said in a statement. The tappable shortcuts on the Google app for Android will appear immediately beneath the search bar.
