Google collaborates with The Weather Channel to allow users to view pollen forecast ahead of autumn

Google in collaboration with **The Weather Channel** today added a feature on their search engine enabling ‘pollen forecast’ viewing. The added functionality is aimed at a large number of people who are affected by allergies in the fall season. [caption id=“attachment_3861239” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Reuters Reuters[/caption] With the addition, searching on mobile for pollen or allergy information will now let users glance upon details on pollen levels in and around the area. The **Google** team tracking search interests across the US noticed a spike in searches for allergies each year in April and May come spring and then again in September.Google’s Nisha Masharani in a blog post announced the feature ahead of the autumn season today stating how one in five Americans suffered from allergies come autumn. Masharani said, “When the pollen count in your area is particularly high, you can receive reminders in the Google app.” Users get the option to “turn on” these notifications when searching for pollen levels, pollen forecast or a similar query on Google. The tappable shortcuts on the Google app for Android will appear immediately beneath the search bar.
