Google Chrome OS Almost Ready

While most users have been focused on the Google Chrome browser developments, Google has been working on their Chrome OS release. Google Chrome OS is currently on version 12, and it has been updated to beta status which means the final release isn’t too far away.  There is already news that some brands such as Acer and Samsung will be launching their Chrome OS netbooks sometime in June. The final build should be here in time for the official launch. Those using Google’s CR-48 Chrome OS netbook can update to the latest beta build.

The latest beta of the Chrome OS build includes several improvements and features. Google has improved on the look and design of the OS itself. The OS now includes a new version of the Flash player that’s integrated into the Google Chrome browser as well. Some fixes have been to the Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity features. Some issues with the trackpad sensitivity have also been addressed as have the power drain problems .
