Google Chrome 54 rolling out with developer features and HTML 5 YouTube embeds

Google is launched Chrome 54 in the stable version for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. The new update is rolling out gradually with the focus on developers. In addition to the addition of new developer features and improved developer tools, the company has added the ability to convert Flash YouTube embeds to HTML 5. This comes right after Google announced that Chrome will prefer **HTML5 over Flash content** online. Even though YouTube decided to roll out HTML5 by default in January 2015 but still the old video embeds were all over the internet. To take care of the old embeds, Chrome 54 will overwrite the Flash embeds with HTML5 embed style as reported by Ventrue Beat on how Chrome 54 will convert the embeds. Chrome 54 also fixes many security bugs that were worth approximately $29,000 in the Bug Bounty program by Google. Google recently reported that the upcoming version, **Chrome 55 will use less RAM** and run lighter to improve the performance. Chrome 55 is set to arrive around late November. The browser also seems to have fixed its UI to scale to high-DPI screens as reported by the users. Even though, some users think that it is a bug and will be fixed later. We could not verify the claims by the users but this update is significant for a impoved performance of the browser and in addition, the security of the system.
