Google is marking the celebration of Teacher’s Day in India with a Google doodle on its homepage.

Google is marking the celebration of Teacher’s Day in India with a Google doodle on its homepage . The doodle shows a bigger pencil walking in the front with a book in hand while looking back on the smaller pencils. The larger pencil at the front is signified as the teacher who is guiding and teaching the smaller pencils (students) following it in the behind. The smaller pencil at the end is running to keep up with the rest of the class.

Teacher’s Day is celebrated in various countries all over the world, but the dates for the day differ from country to country. In India, the day is celebrated on September 5, the birth date of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President of India and second President of India. He was know one of the most distinguished scholars of the country in philosophy. It was his wish not to celebrate his birthday, but instead, celebrate the day as Teacher’s Day to show respect to all the teachers in the country.
