The native Gmail client for iOS has been updated to let you open links from your e-mail automatically in Chrome, YouTube and Google Maps. Previously, you could only open such links using Safari.

Moreover, the links you open in Chrome, YouTube or Google Maps will have a Gmail button that will enable you to go back to your mail app quickly. You can choose to enable this new feature and select the default apps for opening links via Gmail’s settings menu.

Apple also ditched Google Maps on iOS when it launched its own map service. Google has its Maps and YouTube apps on the App Store now and is making optimal use of its suite of apps by letting users connect links to it.
