Twitter is considered as one of the best platforms to vent out anger and frustration. And there’s a whole lot of that going around thanks to the elections season. BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s remark that critics of Modi should prepare to leave India and settle in Pakistan, led to a torrent of jokes on Twitter. But the biggest win was perhaps scored by the Makemytrip brand, who displayed some serious social media skills with a tweeted reply to satirist and All-India Bakchod co-founder G Khamba.

Giriraj Singh's 'Leave for Pakistan' threat gets a proper Twitter thwacking

Twitter is considered as one of the best platforms to vent out anger and frustration. And there’s a whole lot of that going around thanks to the elections season.   BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s remark that critics of Modi should prepare to leave India and settle in Pakistan, led to a torrent of jokes on Twitter. But the biggest win was perhaps scored by the Makemytrip brand, who displayed some serious social media skills with a tweeted reply to satirist and All-India Bakchod co-founder G Khamba. Khamba first tweeted out to MakeMyTrip, tongue firmly in cheek, asking if the travel service provider was offering an “infidel package” to Pakistan and that it was for a group enquiry.   MakeMyTrip tweeted back saying, “Already overbooked. Business has been good today. Though we may start some charters given the sudden rise in demand.”   For a brand, it was definitely a winner of a tweet, and cheeky as hell. The tweet is being shared all across social media from Twitter to Facebook. Of course, MakeMyTrip wasn’t the only one joking about the ‘go to Pakistan if you hate Modi’s remark that Giriraj not only made once but also stuck to defiantly. Other Twitter users also joined, some pointing out that perhaps a few BJP leaders would also have to go to Pakistan.   Check out some of the funny tweets below:
