Following Micromax, Lava and Oppo, Gionee has now added to its budget portfolio with the Pioneer P2S. The Pioneer P2S has been launched for Rs 6,499 and will be available in a range of colours, which seems to be the go-to trend for manufacturers these days. The P2S will face the biggest competition from Moto E, which is easily the handset to beat at this price range . The Gionee P2S is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, which is like a MediaTek SoC. The device also features an ARM Mali400 MP graphics processor. In terms of display, it’s not going to dazzle anyone with its 4-inch display, which has WVGA resolution. What’s more disappointing is that the Pioneer P2S runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and not KitKat. There’s a 5-megapixel rear camera, which is on par with much of the competition, but there’s also a VGA front camera for selfies, however grainy and noisy they might be. It comes with 4GB internal memory and a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM phone has a decent-sounding 1600 mAh battery, though the company has not revealed any rated battery life. Gionee P2S is available in a wide range of colours including blue, yellow, and red.
