Gionee has unveiled a new smartphone under its Slim series dubbed Elife S6 in China. The device will go on sale from November 22 priced at 1699 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,600). The smartphone will be available in gold and platinum colour variants.
The main USP of the smartphone is its slim design. It is just 4mm at its thinnest point and 6.9mm at its thickest point. It sports a height of 151.9mm while the width is 74.6mm, similar to the iPhone 6 Plus. In addition, the screen to body ratio is 77.8 percent and offers super-slim bezels.
In terms of specifications, the device sports a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The device runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Amigo OS 3.1 on top and supports hybrid dual SIM card slots. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and supports Full HD 1080p video recording. It also includes a 5MP front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and also includes a reversible USB Type-C 2.0 port. A 3150mAh battery completes the package.
