 "Gigabyte shows off Haswell-running Brix 2 diminutive gaming PC")
Gigabyte has revealed a new model in its Brix line-up of tiny gaming computers. The new one, dubbed Brix 2, packs in a Haswell chip along with Intel’s Iris Pro for graphics, according to The Verge . Despite using an integrated GPU for the graphics, the Brix 2 should be capable of gaming quite well since it is using the very best that Intel has to offer when it comes to integrated graphics, which the company has claimed is the equivalent of an Nvidia GeForce GT 650M GPU.
The Brix 2 has an HDMI and Mini DisplayPort output, four USB 3.0 slots, a Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi and a 3.5 mm audio jack. However, users will have to get their own 2.5-inch hard drive for memory. It also lacks an operating system out of the box. The Brix 2 is set to hit stores in December and is set to cost somewhere between $499 and $599 (Rs 31,936 to Rs 38,336 approx).

The most interesting thing about the Brix 2 is its form factor. The barebones computer fits neatly into a box that measures 4.5 inches on each side. This essentially means that it is smaller than an Xbox 360 controller.
Tiny computers that can run games have been getting quite popular in recent times. Back in June, Alienware had refreshed its X51 computer with Intel’s Haswell chips. Along with this, the X51 also got the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 GPU. However, when it comes to price, Alienware is miles ahead of the Brix 2. The top-of-the-line model of the X51 costs a hefty $1,449 (Rs 92,736 approx). For the price, you get a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 2TB SATA 7200RPM HDD and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 with 2GB GDDR5 memory.
