Information about the next downloadable content (DLC) for Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 had been leaked last month. According to Eurogamer , Gearbox has now confirmed the next DLC for the role playing shooter, titled Mr Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage.

Mr Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage was announced by the company through a fake account for a character from Borderlands 2 - Mr Torgue, a weapons manufacturer. “Are you badass enough to survive ‘Mister Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage?” read the tweet . “I’m legit curious cause I dunno you that well.” The account later added, “here’s a picture of me throwin up the horns like a badass.”

The price for the DLC has been confirmed by Gearbox to be the same as that of the previous DLC - Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty. The DLC will cost 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 (approximately Rs 546), depending on the platform you buy it on. The release date will be announced by Gearbox in a few days.

The information had been leaked last month because there were three trophies that had been added to the game for Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage which reveals the objective “Long Way to the Top”, some side missions, and a trophy for collecting hidden pictures of Moxxi – a character who had her own DLC for the first Borderlands.

Gearbox had confirmed the Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty DLC in October. “You can sense the pirate theme across the landscape, even though there’s no water,” said Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford. “It’s all dried up. It feels more like Tatooine than an ocean. These bandits have really embraced the pirate lifestyle, and there’s the legend of a treasure. That kicks off this whole adventure that the players can go on.”

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty is the first major DLC released for Borderlands 2 and will be included in the Season Pass. The DLC by itself is costs $9.99 (around Rs 524), but players can also buy the Season Pass for the game, which includes all four planned major DLCs and costs $29.99 (Rs 1,574 approx).

The Mechromancer DLC had been released for those of us who hadn’t pre-ordered the game. The DLC contains a new character called Gaige the Mechromancer. Like every other class in the game, Gaige the Mechromancer also has a special ability called Deathtrap, which is a robot she can summon to presumably go on a murderous rampage against her enemies. Her three skill trees are Best Friends Forever, Little Big Trouble and Ordered Chaos. Gearbox has made her skill tree available on the skill calculator so you can get a closer look at her skills.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
