Everyone knows the period between now and September is kind of mellow since none of the big names in gaming will be out for another two months. Keeping your plight in mind, we’ve tied up with our compadres at CHIP for a Gaming Special CHIP Insider to tide away that mid-year boredom.

Bundled absolutely free with the August issue of CHIP, the gaming special Insider packs in a ton of content including a behind the scenes look at some of the most anticipated games of 2011. We managed to speak to the guys behind games like Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City and Saints Row The Third as they give you an insight to the blood, sweat and tears that goes behind making an AAA title. And hey, if you’re keen on getting into the industry, we got you covered as well with our take on some of the best institutes for gaming both in India and the West.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

For those who’ve missed out on all the killer game releases earlier on in the year, we’ve even recapped 10 of the must buy games, so you don’t miss out on any of the action. And finally, we have our cover story that takes a look at the most kickass games you’ll need to invest in later on in the year. Yeah, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for your wallet.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
