One of the biggest names in mobile gaming, Gameloft is celebrating the holiday season by offering some of its games at a discount. The games up for grabs at the discounted price of Rs 55 include major games like The Dark Knight Rises, N.O.V.A. 3, The Amazing Spider-Man and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. The games are available on sale on the iOS App Store and the Google Play store.

WooHoo!

What better way to celebrate the holiday than to play games

The last time Gameloft had a sale was back during Thanksgiving , where the company was offering several of its high profile games for $0.99. The games up for grabs at the time were The Amazing Spider-Man, BackStab, Gangstar Rio: City of Saints, The Adventures of Tintin: The Game, Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six: Shadow Vanguard and N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a licensed game that is based on the movie that was released earlier this year. The game follows the same storyline of the movie, where you have to stop the Lizard’s rampage.

Gangstar Rio: City of Saints is an open world action game, much in the vein of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series. The game puts you in Rio de Janeiro where you can either go on rampant murdering sprees, or follow the storyline in the missions.

BackStab is a story of betrayal and revenge. The gameplay looks similar to that of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series, where you are let loose in an open world with the ability to free-run your way on rooftops as you stalk and take out your target.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Game is another movie tie-in game that was based on the movie released last year. The game puts you in the shoes of ace reporter Tintin as he unravels the mystery behind the ship, the Unicorn.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard is based on the world created by Tom Clancy and expanded upon by the previous Rainbow Six games. The game is a tactical shooter, where you have to manage a squad through different scenarios.

N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance is an FPS set in a sci-fi world. The game takes place four months after the events of N.O.V.A. 2 and has been well received by gamers and critics for its gameplay.

The company had recently released the latest title in the Modern Combat series— Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour . Gameloft is known for quite a few franchises, and the Modern Combat series is a major one for the company. Judging from the trailer, Gameloft seems to be continuing the series as it has always done: by making it another modern military shooter. While Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour does look generic, the visual fidelity seems pretty good considering it’s a phone game. The previous games in the series are famous for their multiplayer component, and Gameloft seems to have improved on that.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
