Just ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked event, yet another video has emerged. The 14-second video gives us a closer look at what is said to be the upcoming Galaxy S7. Android Authority has got its hands on a video which shows the flat screen version, and not the dual edge model.
In addition, an image showing the SIM tray has also leaked. The image only further confirms that the company will offer expandable memory. The report also adds that the device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and pack in a 2800mAh battery. Now, this is contradictory to the battery capacity we’ve been hearing so far to be 3000mAh for the standard Galaxy S7.
A new video teaser named #TheNextGalaxy reveals Indonesian archer Dellie Threesyadinda using the new phone for her training. The video had confirmed features such as a wireless charging pad and waterproofing ability. So far, the specifications that have been revealed by various sources online suggest a 5.1-inch display on the Galaxy S7 and a 5.5-inch one for the S7 Edge. The resolution of both the displays is expected to be a QHD array with 2560 x 1440 pixels. Rumours suggest a 12MP or 13MP rear snapper sporting an aperture of f/1.7. Here’s everything we know about the Galaxy S7 so far .
The official unpacking of the next Galaxy will take place in Barcelona on February 21st at 19:00 CET.
