Galaxy Note 7 front panel reveals an iris scanner

Samsung’s next big phablet is getting closer to become official as we already know that the company will announce the Galaxy Note 7 as well as the Galaxy Note 7 Edge in August . There have been talks about whether Samsung will add an iris scanner to its new phablet duo and chances are that it will. According to a leaked image of what looks like the Note 7’s front panel, Samsung will be introducing an iris scanner to the Note series. The panel has three round cutouts above the display, presumably for three lenses that would work together to scan your eyes. Of course the one sitting alone is the front camera. Also if you notice, Samsung has removed its shiny logo to accommodate the sensors and maintain the size of the device. Samsung had recently introduced the Galaxy Tab Iris for government and enterprises in India last month for use in the field for logging iris scans for use in biometric identification. A quick roundup of the rumoured specifications for the Note 7 include a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED dual edge display, 6GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB expandable storage options, a 12 MP main camera similar to the S7, a new Exynos chip or the Snapdragon 821/823 SoC and a 3,600mAh battery. Recently a demo video of a new TouchWiz UI was leaked which is said to be running on the upcoming Note 7.
