There has been quite a bit of talk about Samsung’s new phablet offering, the Galaxy Note 3. And the leaks about the phablet have been considerable as well. A new leak reported by SamMobile now seems to confirm quite a few of them. According to the new report, the new Note 3 will come with a 5.68-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
Added to that, the report states that the phablet will come in at least two new variants. The new variants are currently being codenamed SM-N900, which was earlier reported, and SM-9005. There is not much known about the SM-9005 variant for now. Internally, the SM-900 will come with a 1.8GHz Octa-core Exynos 5420 processor. The CPU unit in the new variant has still not been confirmed, but the model number suggests that the variant might come with a Snapdragon 800 processor.
In terms of GPU, the former variant will come with an ARM Mali-T628 MP6 chip, according to the new report. The GPU of the latter is yet to be revealed. The SM-N9005 comes with the earlier reported 3GB of RAM. The RAM capacity of the other variant is still under wraps.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come with a 5.68-inch screen and 3200 mAh battery
In the optics department, both variants will come with a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabalisation. The SM-N9005 will come with LTE connectivity, a feature that the other variant does not seem to have. Both phones will come with the latest Android 4.3 OS and sport a 3200 mAh battery. This is a bit more than the Galaxy Note 2, which came with a Li-Ion 3100 mAh battery.
The new report states the Note 3 will be available in three storage capacities, i.e., 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. From what has been reported, though, most markets will see the 32GB version, with only select markets receiving the 64GB model.
The new leak has also shown that the Note 3 will come with similar dimensions to the Note 2, while sporting a larger display. All in all, this is a pretty good roundup for the phone before its launch. And Samsung is not wasting much time, having announced an event on September 4 where it will officially unveil the Note 3. Interested users have only a few days now to find out what all new the Note 3 will actually come bearing under the hood.
