Galaxy Note 3 may feature better camera with OIS features

The newest rumour in town about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, is that it could possibly feature a better camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) features. Android Authority reports that the South Korean giant is considering adding OIS capabilities to the phablet that should help improve the images and videos taken using its main camera.

The report further says that the team at Samsung working on the unannounced Note 3, considered adding 3x optical zoom capabilities to the camera, but speculates that it might not be a possibility since it would affect its thickness. OIS would definitely be an interesting addition though, since unlike the software available now, it would tackle issues pertaining to motion at the lens or sensor level, the report explains.

That said, these are only rumours at the moment and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

As for the Note 3, phablet fans have been looking forward to it for quite some time now. Recently, SamMobile had reported that the company will be unveiling the next handset in the line-up, dubbed the Galaxy Note 3, in the second half of 2013. It will sport a giant 6-inch display, thus further blurring the line between smartphones and tablets, and will use a Super AMOLED panel just like Samsung’s other high-end devices.

It was earlier rumoured that the company would be going for a radical design change for the Note 3 by using a flexible display, but it looks like Samsung may have scrapped this idea to go for a more traditional design, which will very likely be inspired by the Galaxy S4.
