SiS has announced that the SiS671FX chipset, designed for Windows Vista has been used in the Fujitsu T671ME-FJ motherboard. Besides, this product has entered mass production process.
Additionally, the SiS671FX chipset has been certified for Windows Vista. In order to match up with the features of Windows Vista, the SiS671FX chipset is particularly designed to support all the requirements so that the system will be more secure, reliable, and easy to use. It also results in Fujitsu’s adoption of the SiS671FX chipset.
The SiS671FX chipset features support for Intel Core 2 Duo, Celeron D and Pentium 4 processors. Also, it supports DDR2 667 memory, and bandwidth up to 5.3GB/s. As for the graphics capability, the SiS671FX is integrated with the Mirage3 graphics engine. Furthermore, the SiS671FX supports one PCI Express x16 slot for customers using any add-on graphics card. The PCI Express x16 slot delivers bandwidth up to 4GB/s for each direction.
The SiS968 Southbridge chipset fully supports PCI Express x1 slot, Serial ATA high-speed transmission, and 6 USB2.0 ports. Besides, with support of the SiS968, Fujitsu T671ME-FJ features 6-Channel Audio and 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet networking. All the functions that Fujitsu T671ME-FJ carries are designed to power Windows Vista completely.
