Imaging giant Fujifilm has launched its latest instant photo system, the Instax Mini 9 for the Indian market. The company announced the launch at an event held in Mumbai at the price of Rs 5,999. The company plans to bring the culture of the Instant Photo System to India where consumers and businesses like fashion can use the feature creatively. The Instax Mini 9 camera prints photos on a Fujifilm Instax Mini film with the dimensions of the picture fixed to 62 mm x 46 mm.
The camera comes with two lens components with two lens elements. The effective focal length of the camera is fixed at 60mm and 1:127 magnification ratio. It sports a glass image finder that includes a target spot. Fujifilm has ensured that the instant camera can shoot images from a minimum distance of 0.6m. One thing to note here is that the camera has a fixed shutter speed of 1.60 seconds with a manual switching system to control the exposure of the photos. The camera works on a cartridge based system where the films are loaded in the form of cartridges with an automatic feeding out. The film needs 90 seconds to develop depending on the room temperature of the photo.
Instax Mini 9 comes with a constant firing flash that can’t be turned off. The camera uses a light sensor to adjust the light of the flash. It would take up to 6 seconds for the Flash to charge after one photo. It is powered by two AA-sized 1.5V alkaline batteries. The flash is only effective in a short range from 0.6m to 2.7m. The interesting thing here is that the camera auto powers down. The camera will be available in five different colours ranging from Ice Blue, Cobalt Blue. Smoky White, Lime Green and Flamingo Pink. The device comes with a selfie mirror on the front along with the ability to attach the close-up lens.
