Developer Kaos Studios has revealed that they plan on adding Punkbuster support for their spankin’ new online shooter – Frontlines: Fuel of War; the support will be added in one of the upcoming patches. Here’s word from Even Balance’s (the developed of Punkbuster) website:
THQ and Kaos Studios have contracted with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate their PunkBuster anti-cheat software into Frontlines: Fuel of War. This will be added in an upcoming patch and more details will be released soon.

This is terrible news, according to me! I completely abhor Punkbuster with every drop of gamer blood in my body. It’s not because I cheat, it’s because of the crazy amount of muck-ups I’ve faced due to this extremely crappy anti-cheat system, that’s kicked me off servers randomly and made games like Battlefield 2142 complete un-playable at times. I hope that they do a better job this time, else I’m gonna uninstall my copy of Frontlines before you can say ‘RandomDisconnectionsFTL!’.
