A bit over a week after the release of Diablo 3 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Blizzard has now released the demo for the game. The demo can be downloaded from PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. It’s a bit of a hefty download: 1.28GB on Xbox Live and 1.2GB on PlayStation Network.

It has two playable classes—Barbarian and Wizard—and features local and online multiplayer. The only multiplayer only works with friends who are also playing the demo. In the demo, players can go through the story up to the Skeleton King, which is the first major boss fight. If you decide to buy the full game later, save files can be carried over from the demo to continue the story.

Stirring controversy

According to Blizzard, the console versions of the game have been custom-tailored for gamepad-driven action. It also features a new interface that will be easier to use with a controller as opposed to the mouse-and-keyboard-centric interface of the PC version. Along with the ability to play online, the console versions also have the capability for local co-operative play with up to three other players.

In Diablo III, players take on the role of one of five characters—barbarian, witch doctor, wizard, monk, or demon hunter—and embark on a quest to save the world of Sanctuary from the corrupting forces of hell. The epic quest takes players from the demon-besieged town of New Tristram to the Diamond Gates of the High Heavens.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
