Foxconn said to be hiring workers for 'iPhone 6' production

There is already a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming iPhone, and if reports are to be believed, Foxconn has begun the process of recruiting workers to work on this next-gen smartphone from Apple.

Citing a Chinese-language report on China Business News, CNET reports that a recruitment firm with a Hon Hai unit in Zhengzhou in the Henan Province has begun the process of hiring workers on a large-scale to work on the production of the upcoming Apple iPhone. Interestingly, the source report refers to this upcoming phone as the ‘iPhone 6’, even though there is no such confirmation from Foxconn yet.

Still remains as elegant and refined as ever

Lot of excitement surrounding upcoming iPhone!

The report also refers to a certain conceptual image of the iPhone that comes sans borders and sports an aluminium carbon fibre shell. “..the entire weight of the body lighter than the iPhone 5 by 40%.” Needless to add, such mentions must be taken with a pinch of salt as it may not be the final design of the phone.

Only last month a new set of pictures of the back of the iPhone 5S had emerged, showing a redesigned LED flash arrangement. The images were leaked on Weibo and are unlike the rounded housing for the flash in previous iPhones. Looks like Apple will be talking up the camera’s low-light ability when it is unveiled. Aside from giving users a brighter image, the dual-LED flash setup could also have been implemented to let users use the torch light feature without any reservations of overusing the flash. The iPhone 5S is expected to arrive in stores in late Q3 or early Q4 and rumours suggest that a low-cost iPhone will also be coming alongside. It will run the final version of the new iOS 7.
