Foursquare with its latest update is now letting you check-in your friends when you’re out together, instead of having the two of you do it individually – of course, with their permission.
Like the idea? The next time you check-in, you can tap “I’m with…” to add the names of your friends accompanying you from the list that shows up. It will then ask your friends for their permission to let you check them in. If they say yes, they’ll get checked in and you’ll be able to check them in anytime in the future. If your friends don’t want you to check them in, the app will just “mention” them the way it does normally. Likewise, each time your friend checks you in, you will be notified. If you don’t want to be checked in, you can tap the delete button.
Save time, enjoy more!
The update is available for Foursquare Android and iOS users and can be downloaded off their respective app stores.
It is even possible to view your check-in history on Foursquare now, thanks to an update dubbed Time Machine that came by a little over two weeks ago, . The feature gives you a visual representation of all the places you have checked-in to and also shows which type of places you check-in to frequently. So, if you checked into various places during your visit to a new city, you can come back and relive all those moments using the Foursquare Time Machine site. It shows a neat visualisation of the paths you traversed. In addition to this, the feature also helps you discover or predicts which places you should head to next. Users can even save and share infographics of the stats.
