Microsoft has strengthened its gaming lineup with a slew of new titles at the ongoing E3. One such big announcement coming from E3 is the launch of Forza Horizon 2 slated for a 30 September 30. It is a follow-up to 2012’s Forza Horizon. The game is still in development on **Xbox One** at Playground Games and on Xbox 360 at Sumo Digital, points out Polygon. While the original game was set in a fictionalised version of Colorado, the new game will take place in Southern Europe. Horizon 2 will feature more than 200 cars, dynamic weather and a full day-night cycle in 1080p, adds the report. Gamers will have to race through Southern Europe dodging traffic, chasing down bullet trains and airplanes, and pulling off awesome stunts. Every car is expected to feature a full cockpit view, along with working windshield wipers and headlights, which will come in handy at night or in the rain. If you remember, at the launch of Xbox One last year in November, Turn 10 Studios - company behind the Forza Motorsport franchise - launched the Forza Motorsport 5. Looks like, the Horizon 2 is set to take racing to an altogether new level. Turn 10 plans to release the Forza Horizon 2 with great looks. Take a look at the official trailer below:
Playground’s Creative Director Ralph Fulton told IGN that the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will run at 1080p and be locked at 30fps. The latter decision has been something of a contentious issue recently, especially for gamers with powerful machines who want to run their games at the highest frame rates possible. In addition, some online features for the game include Car Clubs that hold up to 1,000 members, drop-in/drop-out free-roaming multiplayer, and for Xbox One owners, the return of Drivatars, allowing gamers to compete with others, even when they are riding solo.
