Online food ordering platform Foodpanda is launching foodpanda Express Meals,a kind quick meal service in Delhi. For the initial pilot phase, it will start with a curated menu for North Indian and Chinese combo meals in collaboration with three restaurants namely Happy Hakka, Tughlaq and Biryani Art respectively.
The meals are said to be priced economically within the range of Rs 149 to Rs 225. The combos will be served in artistic tower boxes, stored in high grade round plastic containers placed inside the towers that will eliminate the hassle of plating, claims the company. Foodpanda will initially accept orders between 12PM – 4PM (lunch hours), with a 30 minute express delivery.
Elaborating on the concept of foodpanda Express Meals, Saurabh Kochhar, CEO, foodpanda India said, “We are excited to be announcing yet another innovative offering for our valued customers through the introduction of Express Meals. The thought behind this originated with the desire to make available pre-set portions of favourite combos within 30 minutes of ordering.”
He added, “We are also cognizant of the fact that most of our corporate users prefer ordering meal combos instead of separate meals. We are doing a pilot run in Gurgaon with 3 restaurants and are confident these curated meals will be enjoyed by our customers and also help us in the conquest of new customer base.”
