Flipkart drops Moto G price by Rs 2,000; now available for Rs 10,499

Moto G smartphone which is exclusively retailing on Flipkart has seen a price cut and is now selling for Rs 10,499. The price tag of around Rs 10,000 has made the Moto G even more desirable for anyone looking for a 10k budget device.   The Moto G also plays a key role in paving way for exclusive online tie-ups in India. It was soon followed by the Moto X and Moto E. Both saw significant popularity in India, too. Motorola claimed to have sold **over a million** Moto devices in India in just five months.   Let’s quickly brush through its specs. The Moto G sports a 4.5-inch HD ’edge-to-edge’ display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, amounting to a pixel density of 329ppi, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. The handset runs the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat. Under the hood, the device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.   For photography, there’s a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well as a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. Rounding up the package is a 2070mAh battery, which the company claims will give 30 percent more talk time than Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 5s.
