Flipkart collaborates with HP, Intel and Microsoft to provide computers at affordable prices

E-commerce marketplace Flipkart on 26 June announced that it has collaborated with HP, Intel and Microsoft so that consumers can buy HP Intel Core i3 Windows 10 laptop for Rs 36,000 at Rs 999 per month by availing a 36-month EMI option.

This collaboration is an effort to tap college students and first-time PC buyers. Flipkart has also partnered with ICICI Bank and CitiBank to provide hassle-free financing options to consumers. “With Flipkart’s wide market reach combined with an industry-first affordable 36-month EMI option, we are certain that this offering is a winning combination and will strike a chord with our customers reinforcing our undisputed position as laptop market-leaders in the country,” Amitesh Jha, Vice President, Electronic Devices at Flipkart, said in a statement. The initiative enhances Flipkart’s wide selection of laptops curated for its current “Back to College” campaign which offers deals and selection to students. The laptop category is the third largest category on Flipkart and is growing more than 30 percent year-on-year against the industry growth of approximately five percent. Flipkart on Father’s day offered Apple iPhone 6 (16 Gb)  at Rs. 21,999 and was available from 8 June and 10 June. The phone was initially priced at Rs. 24,990 and the price of the phone was decreased by 3,000 on the Father’s Day offer sale. With Inputs From IANS
