Just before and around Diwali, there was an overdose of online sales from Flipkart, Amazon and all other e-stores. There was practically a ‘new’ sale every week inducing a feeling of deja vu among potential buyers and online window-shoppers.

Flipkart Big Shopping days will go on from 6-8 December.
If for some reason you missed all those sales or didn’t feel the need to buy a new phone then, but need one now, the next three days would be a good time to purchase it. In case you have been eyeing a flagship device and waiting for a price drop on the same, you must definitely check out these deals in the Flipkart Big Shopping Days sale.
Google Pixel 2 XL

Google Pixel 2 XL
Google’s last generation flagship is still a potent device. Its 12.2 MP rear camera is still one of the best in the business in all lighting conditions. The single-camera manages to do things that most dual, triple and quad cameras struggle to deliver, including great portrait shots. Powered by a generation old Qualcomm top chip Snapdragon 835, there’s a lot left in the tank in terms of processing power. Given the absurdly high pricing of Google’s Pixel 3 lineup, the Pixel 2 XL offers much better value under 40K.
If you are willing to look past its release date, you get powerful hardware, great camera, 6-inch QHD display, pure Android experience and guaranteed OS updates as soon as Google releases them for a decent price. It also comes with a 2-year warranty.
Google Pixel 2 XL sale price: Rs 39,999 for 64 GB variant
Google Pixel 2
In case you want all the goodness of the Pixel 2 XL but in a more compact form factor and at a lower cost, then opt for the Google Pixel 2 instead. It has the same camera module, same Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4 GB RAM, all the stock OS perks etc., but with a 5-inch Full HD screen. The 64GB variant can be bought for a good Rs 5,000 lower and even the 128 GB model can save you a couple of thousands, which is not a bad deal at all given that Pixel devices do not have expandable storage. You get a 2-year warranty on these too.
Google Pixel 2 sale price: Rs 34,999 for 64 GB variant, Rs 37,999 for 128 GB variant.

Moving on from last gen to current gen, LG’s latest is on sale too and for a very good price. The LG G7 ThinQ is selling for Rs 10,000 lower than its usual selling price. The phone has a more contemporary design with a 6.1-inch notched display with a very high Quad HD resolution. You also get 16 MP+16 MP dual rear cameras with Google Lens implementation. It manages to capture excellent shots in most lighting conditions and can record 4K videos too with ease. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s current flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded further till 2 GB with a microSD card.
The phone sports a stylish design and is IP68 certified, meaning it is dust resistant and can survive the occasional splash or dip up to 1.5 metres. The LG Q7 ThinQ comes with a bunch of sound enhancements and supports wireless charging too. In short, a great all-round phone under Rs 30,000.
LG G7 ThinQ sale price: Rs 29,999 for 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage.
Asus Zenfone 5Z
Asus’ current flagship Zenfone 5Z was the first phone in the Indian market to breach the 30K price barrier for phones powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC. Make that another Rs 5,000 cheaper and this is one hell of a deal.
The phone comes with 6 to 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB to 256 GB of internal storage that can be expanded further up to 2 GB with a microSD card. The 12 MP+8 MP dual rear cameras do a commendable job and the 6.2-inch Full HD+ notched display gives little reason to complain. It’s glass and metal body certainly adds a touch of class.
Asus Zenfone 5Z sale price: Rs 24,999 for 6 GB RAM/64 GB storage variant, Rs 27,999 for 6 GB/128 GB variant, Rs 31,999 for 8 GB/256 GB variant.
Honor 10
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor’s flagship phone is easily one of the best-looking devices in the Indian smartphone market currently. The curved glass body of the Honor 10 is hard to ignore. The 5.84-inch Full HD+ notched display is sharp and makes the phone compact and great to hold. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset and comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Its 16 MP+24 MP dual AI-powered cameras at the back capture excellent images even in low light conditions. For selfie enthusiast, there’s a 24 MP camera up front.
The Honor 10 gave the OnePlus 6 a run for its money at launch and the two devices were evenly matched on many fronts. That’s saying something.
Now with a discount of Rs 8,000 from its usual selling price in the Flipkart Big Shopping Days sale, it’s a perfect time to buy it if you have been ogling at it for a while.
Honor 10 sale price: Rs 24,999 for 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
All the above deals might just get sweeter for you in case you are looking to exchange your old phones or even better, have an HDFC card. Flipkart offers an exchange bonus with some of these devices, meaning you get extra few thousand Rupees off on top of the regular exchange value.
HDFC card holders can get Rs 1,500 instant discount in the Flipkart Big Shopping Days sale on all the flagship phones listed above till 8 December 2018.
