The Flipboard iOS app, like its Android counterpart, boasts of added GIF support now. Once they've updated to the latest version (v2.0.5), Flipboard users on the iPhone and iPad will be able to collect and share their favourite GIFs in a magazine. In fact, Flipboard reveals in its post that some readers have already included GIFs into magazines like Just GIF It, GIF Pop and GIF Me a Break. They've got some GIF-centric magazines featured in their By Our Readers section too. Those interested can find them in the content guide and tap on the red ribbon.

Flipboard users can now find top stories in US News, Business, Tech and Sports. Here, the first seven pieces in these sections will be the top news at that moment. If they wish to see more topics, users can continue to flip. Upon creating more than two magazines, Flipboard iOS app users will get a "pagebox" on the fourth page. They can tap on the avatar in this box, thereby quickly going to the curator's profile page.

Lastly, once they've flipped 10 items into a magazine, Flipboard users will be prompted to share it with their friends and followers.

The updated Flipboard iOS app is ready for download on the App Store. It is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad devices. To be able to use this app, users will require devices running iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimised for iPhone 5.
