Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen reveals new game in Twitter teaser

Just yesterday Dong Nguyen disclosed that the Flappy Bird game will return in August, and now he has revealed a new game via Twitter. The Flappy Bird creator has announced that he is developing a new game and has also attached a screenshot, giving us the first glimpse.

In the tweet, he says that he is building a new game so that ‘people can forget about the Flappy Bird for a while’. You will notice that the graphics are almost in line with Flappy Bird, and the screenshot shows small human shaped figures with helmets jumping through an opening that appears to be building.

Take a look at the tweet below:

It is rather surprising that Dong Nguyen offered a sneak peek into his new game, just a day after announcing that the Flappy Bird will be back. It is highly speculated that the new game could be out soon and well before August.

Flappy Bird was taken down by Nguyen after he though people were getting too addicted to it. Most were baffled by Nguyen’s choice to abandon a project that was at one time fetching him $50,000 a day through ads, and that was before it hit it reached its peak popularity. Some left him death threats and phones with Flappy installed were being sold for close to $100,000. However, he soon sparked off new speculation that the game will be back on mobile devices.

While Flappy fans will be eagerly awaiting news of its comeback, there are a horde of apps that can fill the void in the meantime. However, not all are safe to use, and some clones have even been booted out by Apple and Google.
