Google finally decided to name its new Android version – Nougat – and with that we’re inching closer to get the new update. This also means that we are going to see new Nexus smartphones for 2016 very soon. Rumours point out that HTC will be making two devices ( Codenamed Sailfish and Marlin ) for Google this year with similar looks but different form factors.
Today we have an unofficial render of the smartphone courtesy Android Police , who are confident enough to say that this is how the new Nexus is going to shape up. Note that this isn’t the device but a recreation based on the information that was gathered from some credible sources. Android Police says that they are 80 percent confident about the information but then again the whole design could very well change before the official unveiling.
The render looks familiar, almost like the ** LG Nexus 4 .**The on-screen navigation buttons are solid white but there is a possibility that the home button would get a 4-way colour flower design. The back seems much more interesting with a Google logo rather than having a Nexus branding, maybe the first step before Google launches it’s own Nexus smartphone?
Other noticeable features include a flushed camera design, a metal build, and an unconventional dual tone finish at the back comprising of glass and metal. There is also a fingerprint reader and what seems like a grill for the loudspeaker placed at the back. Both Sailfish and Marlin could feature this design of course one of them being smaller than the other.
These are just rumours and speculation so you should probably take them with a grain of salt. Google is expected to officially announce the new Nexus lineup in the month of September.
