The literary world is most likely in eager anticipation for Apple head honcho, Steve Jobs’ upcoming biography. Sure there are documentaries on the genius behind Apple, but this will be first straight from the horse’s mouth. According to numerous sources on the web, the Biography that’s making it out through Simon & Schuster is ready for publishing. Writer Walter Isaacson has displayed on his Publisher's Page, November 21, 2011 as the date when we can expect the biography to be made available on eBook, eAudio and CD and hardcover.

However, that hasn’t stopped the release of a Chinese “knock-off” from hitting the shelves. For a paltry sum of just $10 (Rs. 460) you can pick up the Apple CEO’s apparent biography, if you happen to be in China and can read Chinese. The book is said to be translated by an author named John Cage, most likely a pen name and it’s been out since April, of this year. The Washington Post says that about 4000 copies have already been sold, even though the translation is supposed to be quite poor. I guess the name Steve Jobs packs quite a punch the world over, so much so that people will buy anything that’s either got his face on it or his name.
So aside from copies of mobile handsets and tablets that make it out of China, Books are now being added to the pirate list. Needless to say, we’d love to get our hands on a copy of this book just to see exactly how “interesting” Steve Jobs’ life may be, poor translation not withstanding. For the rest looking for that touch of authenticity, you’ll have to hold on for a couple of months more. Steve Jobs: A Biography, can be pre-ordered via Amazon for $20.80.
