Social media platform Facebook is testing a new shortcut button for WhatsApp on its main app. The button is placed near the menu area on the app and clicking on it takes one to the WhatsApp app. The shortcut button for WhatsApp was spotted on Android app of Facebook and is available only for Danish users.

According to a report on The Next Web the shortcut button for WhatsApp was spotted when the language of the app was changed to Danish. The language on the app suggest that the app is getting tested in Denmark. The release date or any official announcement on the new feature is not confirmed yet.

Facebook was recently spotted testing a 'Group Video Chat' app Bonfire in Denmark. The app has been launched on the iOS platform for the Denmark users.

Facebook has also brought new features to the messenger app. The social media giant has added three new artificial intelligence based 'quick replies' to its virtual assistant 'M' on Messenger. The virtual assistant will suggest animated GIF options to common replies such as 'thank you'. It will also provide quick reply option of 'Yes', 'No' and 'I think so' every time someone asks a question. It has also launched a feature in the Messenger app that allows a user to send virtual birthday card to friends. Messenger app recently crossed 1.3 billion global active monthly users mark.

Facebook has already integrated Instagram with the Facebook app.
