Facebook is down for some users at the moment. While a whole lot of us can still access the site in different parts of the world, there are some stray reports on the Internet right now.
According to Downrightnow.com , the site is currently experiencing “Possible Service Trouble”, confirming that the site is indeed inaccessible for some. We tried accessing the site a while ago only to be greeted with a – “Facebook is down for required maintenance right now…” message (see below).
You’ve hit a roadblock!
Some users have taken to Twitter about the issue. One user with the handle @FestertheGreat1 has tweeted, “hmmmm…. facebook down, can’t chat on here… damn… might have to talk to someone..”
We can’t really tell how many users are affected at the moment. However, let’s hope Facebook resumes normal service soon, or we can expect some panic from users.

Facebook has not been having a very good year with service disruptions and downtime since the beginning of this year, with most notable and widespread outages being caused in the month of February. On Valentine’s day, Facebook announced that the site went down for maintenance purposes , causing users to outrage on Twitter. Just last month it faced a service disruption, following which it remained inaccessible to certain users across America and parts of Asia. There is no word from the company though. Stay tuned.
