For the five of you who use Facebook on your BlackBerry 10 devices, there’s something to cheer about. The social networking website has updated its application for the fledgling operating system, finally bringing some new features, including support for Facebook Chat.
The update bumps Facebook for BlackBerry 10 to version 10.2.1 and is also improving the application’s usability. Facebook Chat being added to the fold, however, is the USP of the app update. You will now be able to see who’s online, start a chat, exchange photos and see when your messages are being delivered and read.

Update finally here
It will pretty much be like using Facebook on iOS, Android and Windows Phone, except the fact that the social networking website doesn’t look too keen on even thinking about VoIP calling, even in the US yet.
As far as usability goes, Facebook seems to have tried hard to improve the experience of going through the service on BlackBerry 10. You will be able to scroll through the News Feed a bit quicker. You can click on the sidebar to scroll to the top of the News Feed too. The update will let you set your profile and Cover Photos easily from the Camera app or any Facebook photo album.
If you own Pages on Facebook and own a BlackBerry 10 device, you’ve not been left out of the loop when it comes to enhancements. You will now be able to see the number of people talking about your Page, view the number of likes on it as well as see how many people have checked in at a venue page. The Page itself brings an updated look and feel to it to make navigation and communicating easier. You will be able to see how many of your friends have liked a Page and how many total likes it has. Intrigued by all things social, Nishtha will invariably tweet about you. When not tweeting or writing about the next viral video, you will hear her proclaiming her love to Metallica, James Hetfield, Opeth, Akerfeldt and all bands that go 'growl'. She also obsesses about ACP Pradyuman and South Park and you will always find her moving around with a book. Her focus is on all the happening stuff in the tech domain, and she won't hesitate to take a shot at some of the oddball devices that make their way to our labs.
