Facebook 360 Spatial Workstation goes live after VR audio company acquisition

Facebook has acquired VR audio company, Two Big Ears as part of it’s ongoing efforts to push VR technology forward. This acquisition has resulted in debut of ‘ Facebook 360 Spatial Workstation ’ which will help provide developers with tools to further develop the VR and AR solutions, apps and services they are already working on. In addition to the development and improvement to the VR and AR platform as a whole, these tools also empower the developers to include and seamlessly integrate these latest technologies in their projects. Two Big Ears initially used to provide their tools and services as a paid product but post acquisition that has gone away and they will be winding their paid product solutions in 12 months. Even though the Facebook technologies are limited to its own platform, Two Big Ears maintains that its technology will not be device or platform dependent. Instead it will be cross-platform with support for Windows coming soon.
