Fable 2 is literally eons away and after the brief teaser at E3 2006, Lionhead Studios hasn’t revealed much about the game. What they have done is released small morsels in the form of monthly updates to tantalize and torment us till the fricking game actually releases. This month’s update is all about visuals and more. It’s been mentioned on quite a few occasions that the world in which Fable 2 takes place, just has to be beautiful. And it has to be big. And at the very same time also be very interesting. And be lush or sinister! And leave room for exploration and most importantly, we want it to be unique. RPG’s still having a tendency to be set in the tested (and admittedly, successful) “Dungeons & Dragons” theme, but with Fable 2 you know you are getting something different. “The world definitely is much bigger and it also feels better,” explains Charlton Edwards, one of the level designers working on Fable 2. “There are more things to do within each area and we absolutely have to make them interesting and absorbing. Too many times have I spent playing RPG’s set in vast barren wastelands. Fable 2 retains the Fable 1 organic, intimate feel, while giving players tons to explore and discover. We are really trying to pack the world with exploration, interaction and secrets.” For a more detailed update, head on over to Lionhead’s
community diary.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
