Note-taking app Evernote’s Web Clipper feature lets you clip important sections of a website and save them as a note. With the latest update, Evernote has added some
interesting features
to the Web Clipper browser extension. The Web Clipper is now deeply integrated with LinkedIn, which will let you save LinkedIn profiles in a more organised manner. When clipping content on Gmail, you can even save complete attachments for quick reference. Even with other sites such as Amazon or YouTube, you can select specific sections of the page to save.
Along with this, you can also annotate clips with text, visual callouts and then share them with your friends or business contacts. This looks quite similar to the Microsoft Edge browser
, that also included annotation feature for web pages from the browser itself. Considering Web Clipper is only available on Chrome, Safari and Opera browsers, it was only natural that Microsoft included that feature in its Edge browser. You can also assign notebooks and tags to the clips right from within the clip screen. According to Evernote, the more you clip, the better Web Clipper gets at predicting your destinations.
