Guys at the popular note-taking app Evernote have shared a preview of their Evernote 5 app, currently in beta, for Windows desktop users. This app now features several improvements and enhancements in addition to an updated “modern” interface.
The Evernote 5 beta app has been enhanced with new search and discovery functions to allow Windows desktop users to easily find what they’re looking for as well as get relevant information even before it is sought.

Evernote Premium users can use this Windows desktop application to rediscover content with related notes. The Evernote 5 app looks for similar notes in a user’s account or in his shared notebooks almost as soon as he begins to type. Then there is the Type Ahead search option in the app that looks for suggestions based on what’s in a user’s account.
Additionally, Evernote Business users can switch search between their personal notes and those that are part of the business notes.
The Reminders feature is currently missing from this beta release, but guys back at Evernote say that it’ll be coming soon.
Evernote 5 beta is currently available for download, but it is only the first of several betas that the company will be releasing for its Windows desktop users. If you’re keen on trying it, out here ’s where you should go, but first ensure that you’re comfortable using the early software.
