Evan Blass reveals the top half of the OnePlus 5T's display with curved sides and 2.5D glass

OnePlus is yet to officially announce any details about the much anticipated  OnePlus 5T . The company is likely to launch the successor to its current flagship, the OnePlus 5 in November. However, in presence of lack of information from the company, reliable tipster Evan Blass has taken to his Twitter account to post an image of what he claims to be the top half of the OnePlus 5T. [caption id=“attachment_4184497” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]OnePlus 5T. Image: Twitter/@evleaks OnePlus 5T. Image: Twitter/@evleaks[/caption] The image shared by Blass comes days after **he confirmed** the OnePlus 5T which he expects to be launched before the end of November. The shared image reveals a detailed look at the top front half of the smartphone which shows us the taller 18:9 nearly edge-to-edge display on the phone. The front-camera sits on top of the display alongside the earpiece. OnePlus also seem to have introduced a 2.5D curved glass layer on top of the display. Though we see only one button on the right side of the image, it is likely that OnePlus will settle for a similar button placement as on the OnePlus 5.

Apart from the change in display, the OnePlus 5T is expected to be similar in term of hardware to the OnePlus 5. Based on the specifications **earlier spotted** on AnTuTu, the phone is said to come with a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080p. This had already hinted the presence of a display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint scanner is expected to be shifted to the back for the first time on a OnePlus phone. Inside, the OnePlus 5T is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset along with the Adreno 540 GPU. It is also likely to pack a massive 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage, though a 6 GB variant with 64 GB of storage will also be available. As far as cameras are concerned, the OnePlus 5T is expected to get two 20 MP lens on the back as a dual-camera setup. The phone is also expected to run Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box. The AnTuTu scores should, therefore, be taken with a pinch of salt as final specifications of the device may vary.
