One of the biggest questions in everybody's minds when it comes to next-gen consoles is what games will we be seeing with these new babies. In a recent post-earnings call, EA Labels boss Frank Gibeau said that the company will have to wait till E3 to reveal its next-gen titles because of a nondisclosure agreement with platform partners.
We'll be seeing EA's upcoming games at E3 2013
"Regarding next-generation consoles, we are under a nondisclosure agreement with our platform partners. However, we're planning a full reveal at E3, including more next-generation titles in development for fiscal '14," Gibeau said. "This will include breakthroughs in graphics and gameplay for some of our biggest franchises, including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden, NBA Live and Need for Speed," he added. "We plan to unveil new titles from EA Sports, BioWare, and DICE, and a first look at some brand new games."
As far as we know, BioWare is working on Dragon Age III: Inquisition and the next Mass Effect game. DICE, on the other hand, is working on a new Star Wars title. It is also rumoured that DICE is working on Battlefield: Bad Company 3. On the sports side, EA had picked up the license for making UFC games after the THQ bankruptcy, so we can expect a new UFC game from EA Sports to be unveiled during E3. EA's upcoming sports games will be using what Gibeau referred to as a "next-generation game engine."
The company will also be showcasing its upcoming military-based FPS - Battlefield 4.
