Edimax releases 3G-6200nL V2 wireless 3G router

Edimax Technology has released the 3G-6200nL V2 wireless 3G router, which supports both 3G/ 3.75G and cable/ xDSL modems. It is equipped with a USB port and an Ethernet WAN port. Moreover, users with both types of connections will be able to use the 3G-6200nL V2’s fail-over feature, which allows the router to automatically switch to the cable/ xDSL connection when 3G/ 3.75G internet connectivity is not available.

The Edimax 3G-6200nL V2 complies with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards, and is capable of reaching wireless speeds of up to 150Mbps when connected to 802.11n devices. It is also equipped with the latest wireless multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) technology, giving it broader Wi-Fi coverage and eliminating dead spots within its signal range.

As per an official statement by Edimax, the wireless router is designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly. The Edimax 3G-6200nL V2 is equipped with green WLAN technology. It dynamically adjusts its power supply according to network activity. By supplying only the amount of power needed at any given moment, the device offers high networking performance while simultaneously maintaining low power consumption. The router can be tethered to an iPhone through the USB port.

The Edimax 3G-6200nL V2 comes with a physical Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button. Push the WPS button on this router and on a client device, and establish a secure Wi-Fi connection between the two devices instantly.

Edimax 3G-6200nl V2 comes with an MRP of Rs 3,590 with a three-year warranty.

Earlier this year, Edimax had launched the EW-7438RPn N300 Universal Wi-Fi Extender. It enables enhanced Wi-Fi network in houses that have several rooms and multiple floors.
