ECS Gears Up for CeBIT 2011

ECS Gears Up for CeBIT 2011

Elitegroup Computer Systems, popularly known as motherboard makers ECS, are getting ready for their showing at CeBIT 2011, which will happen from March 1 – March 5 in Hannover, Germany. Read on to find out which products they’ll be showcasing.

The MB40 and MB50 notebooks will be powered by Intel Core processors and will feature 14-inch and 15-inch screens respectively. These screens will be LED backlit and will run at a resolution of 1336x768. The notebooks will also feature 6-in-1 cardreaders and various optimization options.

The E-series Classmate PCs will employ an Intel Atom processor along with a 10.1-inch display and 160GB hard drives, available in both SSD and disk drive variants. It will boast of a 1.3 Megapixel rotating camera and will include wireless connectivity options such as Wi-fi and Wimax on a 9 hour rated battery life.

The ECS eBook Readers will come in 9.7-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch screen variants with finger touch displays. They support both Android and Linux Operating Systems and various document formats. Connectivity options include Wi-fi, Bluetooth and 3G and the devices will also feature a music player.

ECS also plans to launch Tablet PCs, cashing in on the sector’s popularity of late. The Tablets will vary in sizes from 10.1-inch to 7-inch and will feature both Android and Windows-based Operating Systems. The Windows-based tablets will be powered by an Intel Atom processor and will support Wi-fi, Bluetooth and 3.5G. The Android variants will be powered by Marvell and Samsung processors and will feature the same connectivity options.

Apart from this, ECS will also show off All-in-Ones and other Desktop PCs based on their HTPC, Gaming and mini-ITX motherboards. There’s not long to go before CeBIT begins, and we’re hoping we find out more about some pretty cool products at the event.
