E3 2011: No PlayStation 4 Anytime Soon

Contrary to the buzz swirling around the internet last week, Sony is not going to release the PlayStation 4 anytime soon. Last week at an investor’s meeting, Sony’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Masaru Kato had justified Research and Development costs to what many believed was a successor to the PlayStation 4. Well, it turns out he was talking about the NGP as Sony are in no hurry to churn out the PS4 according to IGN .

This E3, their primary focus, besides a ton of games of course will be their handheld powerhouse, the NGP. Even though we haven’t played with the device ourselves, the thought of replaying older PSP games with improved visuals, and more importantly right analog stick support, is enough to get us all warm and fuzzy within.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office.
