E3 2011: MGS and Zone of the Enders HD Collection Announced

At Konami’s pre-E3 2011 conference, Hideo Kojima announced the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PS3 and the Xbox360 (HELL YEAH!). This HD collection features Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (the PSP game).

Like most HD collections on the block today, the MGS collection will feature Trophies/Achievements, improved visuals, right analog stick support and lots more. The MGS Collection will be available for both the Xbox360 and PS3 this November.

In addition to the MGS collection, another one of Kojima’s games, the Zone of Enders series will also be getting an HD upgrade for both the Xbox360 and PS3. This collection will include Zone of the Enders 1 and 2 and will feature the same gameplay and graphical tweaks as the MGS collection. The Zone of the Enders HD Collection will release in 2012.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
